Anna Nicole Smith???

What's going on good people...and bad people!!!

Hey I have been inundated like the rest of you with this Anna Nicole stuff, and I'm a bit puzzled...First off, I think her life was really tragic...clearly she wasn't very happy. For her loss and the loss of her family I am sad. Secondly...Why all the fuss??

What is the fascination with celebrities? Why particularly is there so much interest when there is scandal? Well ya know your boy has some answers. So, here we go.

I think that we live in a society or even a world, where people look outside themselves to feel complete. We live through the lives of celebrities, because it's easier. We look to politicians to guide our lives. We look to religion to give our lives meaning. We look to a lover to validate our manhood or womanhood. We have been conditioned to believe that EVERYTHING we need for happiness, peace, and contentment is outside ourselves.

Well...I'm here to tell you that it's not true. What we really need is to realize the power we have built into our magnificent frames. There is nothing 'out there' that is essential to our happiness. Remember the song by the group America? It had a very significant line in it...wanna hear it? Here it goes: "Oz never did give nothing to the Tin man, that he didn't already have".

So...while it is sad that Anna Nicole died tragically, while it is sad that Gerald Levert died way too soon, while it is interesting and even exciting that a black man and a woman are contenders for the White House...Our lives shouldn't revolve around these things.

We are self contained and full of awesome power...Let's start acting like it.
