The beginning of greatness

What's good my people??!!

Yes, the beginning of greatness...I believe it can begin with this thought:

I have a talent, ability, or quality that is special enough to make a difference in the world.

I believe that if you can just let that thought exist in your mind and in your heart, it will eventually take root. It will take root because it is truth. The primary reason why some people achieve greatness and others don't is because only a select few have gotten in touch with this truth. Fact: everyone has the potential to make a difference in the world. EVERYONE has within them the seed of greatness. The problem is that most people don't believe that is true...so, for them greatness is something they read about...something they see on TV...something they witness at a sporting event. The problem is that for most people greatness is foreign to them.

I had the experience of posing the thought of having a special talent, ability, or quality to a woman the other day. When I asked her to just let the thought exist in her mind she could barely stand it. No sooner that I posed the challenge that she was shaking her head no...as in 'no...I don't have anything special in me'. It struck me how uncomfortable the possibility of being great was to her.

The reason for her discomfort, I believe is because she bought into the great lie.

I'll tell you what that great lie is in one of my upcoming posts. In the meantime...
