When Obama announced his candidacy all the talking heads fawned over his oratory skills and charisma. Shortly thereafter they were saying Hillary Clinton would eat him for lunch. As polls started coming out ALL of them confirmed that Obama would indeed BE lunch. 'Obama is really exciting but he's too inexperienced'...that's what the experts were saying.
Fast forward, to January 08 and the Iowa Caucus. Low and behold, Obama ate Hillary for lunch. Everyone was shocked. He gave and astounding victory speech and everyone was infatuated. Next the pundits were all saying that Obama would most likely win the primary in New Hampshire. Turns out that ALL the pundits were wrong...Hillary won. So now the tide has turned...again.
Hillary is now back in form...thanks to a 'sensitive moment', that some think may have been a put on. So, Barack is the JV player again. His experience is brought into question, again. People say he should be more aggressive and engage Clinton. So he does...and all the knuckleheads are saying he's falling into the Clinton trap. They say Barack should 'rise above the fray'.
Bill Clinton attacks Obama on some comments he made about Ronald Reagan and mischaracterizes some of what Obama says...so at the South Carolina debate Obama strikes back. One again he is criticized for the tactics that Clinton is praised for. It seems it's OK for Hillary to attack but not for Obama to do the same.
Personally I like Obama, and I intend to support him as long as he's in the race. I hope he can rize above the unfair treatment he's getting in the media. I hope he'll return to his 'politics of hope' and let Clinton play in the mud by her damn self. I really feel that Barack Obama is the type of politician that can help to change the face of America...literally.
I say it's time for a change...there goes that word again.
...By the way...how come Barack Obama doesn't come up in my spell checker, but Hillary Clinton does? Hmmm.
Stay Fly and Fly High!
