I think this corny "stimulus package" is hush money. They figure if they just give the kids a couple of dollars they'll shut up. The ironic thing is I think the 'kids' will shut up. The problem is, soon as the cash is gone we'll be right back where we were... in a jamb. The economy is bleak and $600 or $1,200 is not going to do anything real to change things.
I'm no expert on the economy (but that's never stopped me before) however, I think the economy will change when we make it change. When we decide to take things in our own hands. When we as individuals take our own financial security by the throat and make it do what we tell it do...it will comply.
When we pay in full and up front the price of success and security, the universe will comply. Individual responsibility and determination can turn the economy around and nothing else will get the job done.
In the meantime...can I come over to watch the Super Bowl on the new plasma TV, you got with your "stimulus money"?

What exactly are we supposed to tell our financial security? Mine simply won't listen....
I believe most of the people will use the money to pay bills. This is not going to cure the “sick” economy but it will only lighten up the “symptoms”, temporarily. I see this money as a polite way to tell people to shut up, not as a stimulation to the economy.
