What separates us?

...that is the question.  Or at least part of the question.  What separates average people from exceptional people?  What separates successful people from people who work for successful people?  I think it comes down to one thing WILLINGNESS.  Willingness to face letdown and embarassment.  Willingness to do what needs to be done.

So often people try...often times 'try their best'.  When someone says they tried, that almost always means that they failed.  Successful people don't make it a habit to 'try their best'.  They make it a habit to do what needs to be done.  Often times what needs to be done is more than the average person is 'willing' to do.  Consequently average people don't succeed very often.

Average people get their feelings hurt too easily, so they avoid situations that might bring embarassment.  Successful people usually don't give a damn about what you think about them...and so they forge ahead.  Now that doesn't mean you have to be a jerk to be successful.  It just means that if others think you're a jerk, you don't let it stop you from doing what you know needs to be done.

This is the deal...focus tightly on what your goals and objectives are.  Do not allow yourself to be distracted by the opinions of 'haters' .  Understand that setbacks and temporary disappointments are simply 'teachers' that can guide  you to the promised land.  The fact that those 'teachers' have bloody fangs is just to see how much you really want this success thing.  So don't be a scare-dy cat.
