Legislative accomplishments of the past???

Oh damn!  That's what they ask Obama supporters..."Can you name any legislative accomplishments of his from the past?  I think that is such a corny irrelevant pop quiz question.  Personally I don't know what Mrs. Clinton has done either...I know what she claims, but I don't know what she has done.  Frankly I don't care.

What I do care about is what are you going to do for me and my country IF you become president.  Most political commentators agree that both Hillary and Barack's policies are very similar.  What is really strikingly different for me is the less tangible stuff.  Hillary is always talking about what she has done...or to put it another way...the past.  Barack wants to inspire us to be great.  He wants to bring us all together.  He is not bent on world supremacy, but on world unity.

The fact that Mr. Obama is comparatively younger and less experienced allows him to be more creative, less conformist, and more visionary.   Some people think that Mr. Obama's lack of foreign policy experience is dangerous.  They say his idea about talking to enemies is naive.  But I think he is naive like a fox.  (I know that's a mixed metaphor.)  I think he knows that world peace can not be brought about by beating people over the head with our 'democracy stick'.  World leaders will not be intimidated into doing things our way.  They must be treated with respect, even if we don't agree with them.

Creativity, courage, vision, inspiration and yes, 'lofty rhetoric'...I'll take that over "past legislative accomplishments" any time.
